This property would be a gem just for the view alone, but they went above and beyond to provide so many little extra touches and amenities! Seriously, it was like a 5 star hotel meets an air bnb.
Coffee bar, robes, soaps, s’mores- just so many more little treats and luxuries than any other air bnb I’ve ever stayed in. It had a great zen theme as well- tons of buddhas, meditation books, yoga mats- this hippy gal felt right at home ☺️

Chris and Emily are the best hosts I’ve ever had. Their home is tranquil and even a bit high tech. You’ll enjoy it for sure. They’re very responsive and check in every day. There isn’t a lot to do in Smithsburg, but Frederick is close.
Tip- Make sure to check that the cultural art walk in Hagerstown is open before you go – it was half closed when we got there.

My friends and I had an amazing weekend! The home was beautiful and so comfortable. The view was gorgeous and we enjoyed sitting on the porch swing and window seat.
The hot tub was fantastic. They had so many little details we didn’t expect but really appreciated. We had a great trip and wish we could have stayed longer! 10/10 would recommend❤️

About Us
Chris, Emily and Logan
The Owners and Hosts
Our plan was to renovate this old orchard house from top to bottom and create our “forever home”. We intended to raise our soon to be family on a small homestead property with plans to live a slower-paced rural lifestyle.
On Thanksgiving 2018, Emily let Chris know we were expecting their first child in a creative way by placing a positive pregnancy test amongst several fresh eggs from our chickens that we were waiting to hatch – Logan Christopher was born 9 months later! Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic condition causing severe epilepsy.
After two years and countless medical procedures, doctors were able to get Logan’s seizures manageable, but we quickly realized that a rural lifestyle would no longer be possible. After much research and a leap of faith our family decided to move to Florida seeking better services and support. Not wanting to sell our forever home, we decided to turn it into a mountain side retreat so other couples and families could enjoy, and we could still return to visit.

Patty is an ambitious and empathetic individual who strives to make a difference in the lives of others. She graduated from a British High School and later attended a university in Florida, studying International Relations.
She has been working with Chris in his technology business for 5 years, starting in accounting for 3 years before becoming the Operations Manager. Her passion for helping people led her to her current role as a Senior Property Manager and Bookkeeper with 236 Property Group.
In her spare time, Patty enjoys collecting shot glasses from her travels around the world, reading books and spending quality time with her family. She is a motivated individual with a strong sense of purpose and ambition that pushes her to exceed expectations.
